Good morning!
If the thick layer of yellow pollen on my car yesterday afternoon is any indication, spring has officially arrived at Lake Sinclair. It’s that time of year when the days start warming up, the lake gets a little busier, and the community calendar suddenly fills with things to do.
This week’s edition of Making Waves highlights a few great ways to get involved locally, including a special children’s author event, the Honoring Our Heroes fundraiser, and a look ahead at some of the bigger community gatherings coming up later this month. We’re also spotlighting a local restaurant that’s putting a fresh spin on Southern comfort food and sharing a community resource that continues to make a real difference for families in our area.
Whether you're planning your weekend or just looking for something new to explore around the lake, we hope this week's roundup helps you make the most of it.

Restaurant Spotlight
Greene’s
Greene’s is a family-run restaurant in Milledgeville, Georgia, inspired by the grandparents who started it all, the Original Greene’s and now proudly operated by three generations. With deep roots in Southern hospitality and a heart for wholesome food, Greene’s is on a mission to serve more veggies to more people.
Reimagining the classic “meat & three” tradition, Greene’s cooks slow and serves fast—with three times more vegetables than meats. Their menu is filled with fresh, flavorful Southern favorites made with the same love, care, and skill they bring to their own family table.
