13th Annual 5K for Kaye & 1 Mile Fun Run
It doesn’t matter if it’s your first 5k (you may want to opt for the 1 mile Fun Run) or a seasoned expert, the 5k for Kaye is a great way to support Gatewood and remember one of Gatewood’s favorite alumni, Kaye Gregory Cheshire.

Gatewood Anchor Club will host a Fall Blood Drive
They have plenty of open slots if you have time in your day to donate. You can go online at www.redcrossblood.org and locate the blood drive and sign up for a specific time or you can always drop in without an appointment and they will be happy to see you.
For anyone who has an appointment you can sign in with rapid pass saving you a few minutes at check in.

Featured Business: Pix by Gigi
In 2011, Cher Smith, known to many of her friends as “Gigi,” stumbled into the photography business after she picked up a Nikon camera to take photographs of her grandchildren playing at the beach. She took to photography like a natural, and soon after that her business, Pix by Gigi, was born.
Gigi specializes in fine art portraits of families, expectant mothers and couples, and newborn babies. She has also found a way to incorporate another one of her passions—sewing—into her photography business, by making handmade maternity dresses, ball gowns for little girls, and precious newborn outfits.
Recently, her fabulously supportive husband built her a photography studio outside of their Newborn, Georgia home. The Big Red Barn Studio, as they call it, has become a wonderful piece of the process Gigi uses to capture life’s priceless moments in a form that her clients will treasure forever.
