Annual Awards Dinner & Gala at the Milledgeville-Baldwin Chamber of Commerce
Please join the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce for their Annual Awards Dinner and Gala on June 11th at Magnolia Ballroom. This event features a seated dinner and the presentation of several awards, including the 2022 Small Business of the Year Award, the Rising Star Award, and more. This year will also feature a centerpiece silent auction between cocktail hour and dinner.
Cocktail Hour begins at 6:00 P.M. with the Dinner and Awards beginning at 7:00 P.M. Dress is formal.
Individual Seats are $100, Table of Eight is $800.
8th Annual Sweet Tee Off Golf Tournament
The Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual Sweet Tee Off on Monday, June 13th! The event will be at The Harbor Club at Lake Oconee Golf Course.
Cost is $1500 per team or $375 per player.
Cost includes Tee Gift from Professional Golf Distributors, 1 round of golf, on-course lunch, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages on-course, locally-made snacks provided throughout the course, swag bag, and more!
Cheese and Charcuterie Board Workshop with Chef Deborah
Chef Deborah Johnson is holding a Cheese & Charcuterie Workshop at her Lakefront Townhouse in Eatonton on June 17th from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Participants can learn everything they need to know about creating show-stopping and delicious charcuterie boards! During Chef Deborah’s hands-on 90-min tutorial, participants will work with a variety of meats, cheeses, and other seasonal delicacies to create Charcuterie boards that will impress at the next gathering.
Participants are welcome to bring their own wine. Chef Deborah’s classes fill up quickly, so make sure to register today by emailing [email protected] or clicking the button below. There are only 10 spots available.
The cost is $75 per person.
Macaron Madness with Chef Deborah
Chef Deborah is hosting two Macaron Madness classes throughout the day of June 18th at her Lakefront Townhouse in Eatonton! Each class will have a minimum of 3 and maximum of 4 students. The class will make 2 batches of French Macarons at the same time, all ingredients and equipment provided, and you all will take home a box of macarons! Grab a daughter, mom, sister or friend and join her.
Class 1: 9:00am-12:30pm
Class 2: 2:00pm-5:30pm
Cost: $65 per person

Godspell: A Broadway Intensive Performance at The Plaza Arts Center
The Plaza Arts Center and The Arts Barn are proud to present Godspell: A Broadway Intensive with performances from June 23rd to July 2nd.
Godspell was the first major musical theatre offering from three-time Grammy and Academy Award winner, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Children of Eden), and it took the world by storm. Led by the international hit, "Day by Day," Godspell features a parade of beloved songs, including "Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord," "Learn Your Lessons Well," "All for the Best," "All Good Gifts," "Turn Back, O Man" and "By My Side."
A small group of people help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and hefty doses of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus' life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus' messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life.
Boasting a score with chart topping songs, a book by a visionary playwright (John-Michael Tebelak) and a feature film, Godspell is a sensation that continues to touch audiences. Because of its small technical demands and minimal cast size, it has become a staple of theatre companies, large and small.
The Longest Road: Eagles Tribute at The Plaza Arts Center
It’s not too early to get your tickets to The Longest Road: Eagles Tribute by the Georgia Players Guild on August 20th, 2022 at 7:30pm!
The Georgia Players Guild is a cooperative group of Georgia based artists and musicians who have come together to perform over 30 different tribute shows.

Featured Business: Macarons by Deborah
For nearly 20 years, Chef Deborah Johnson lived in France, where she studied Cuisine, Pastry and Oenology at Le Cordon Bleu, one of the world's top culinary schools. Following her formal training, Deborah worked in Paris as a personal and private chef. Deborah ended up moving to Georgia, so she could live closer to her family. Once she made the move, she worked as a traveling corporate chef for seven years. Now, she spends her time pursuing new business endeavors.
Macarons by Deborah is Deborah’s greatest passion. She creates authentic French macarons entirely from scratch. Sold in small batches, her hand-crafted macarons are sure to make the best gifts for the ones you love. Deborah is open to taking custom orders for special occasions such as weddings, baby showers, party favors, graduations, anniversaries and other celebrations.
