Featured Business: Jessica Gratigny Photography

Freelance photographer and Georgia native Jessica Gratigny fell in love with photography as a very young girl, fascinated by how it allows you to hold onto memories. As she grew older, she began to appreciate the ways that photography can connect you with other people in your community. It was a natural progression for her early fascination to become a hobby, and then a study, and now, her vocation.

She has worked Digital Media Editor for Georgia College and State University’s The Colonnade, and currently works in Athens, GA as a contributing photographer for The Red & Black. In her spare time, she enjoys creating fine art photographic prints by hand and writing about other artists. Her photographic works have been displayed at the 567 Center for Renewal, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, and the Milledgeville Arts Alliance, as well as published in a number of magazines, including the Peacock’s Feet and Beacon Quarterly.

Five years ago, Jessica established her freelance photography business, specializing in portraits, couples, events, and live music, although she enjoys taking on any assignment that allows her to get behind her camera. Originally from Macon, Jessica travels all over the state, and outside of Georgia as well, to capture that photographic magic which has fascinated her since childhood.
