The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit business organization with members in education, private industry, and government, who employ over 12,000 people. The Chamber’s projects and community involvement advocates for and strengthens local businesses, while also solving local problems and improving quality of life.

This member-driven organization strives for excellence as it serves the public through collaboration, acting as a catalyst for prosperity. Among the many great events the Chamber sponsors is the Golf Classic at the Club at Lake Sinclair. The Chamber participates in the statewide STAR (Student Teacher Achievement Recognition) program, which honors outstanding Georgia high school seniors and the teachers they feel have most influenced their academic development. The Chamber also sponsors Reality Check, a hands-on program that allows students from local schools to get a taste of the real-life responsibility they’ll experience at age 26. Volunteers run students through scenarios concerning education, finances, work and family, learning about money management and how their commitment to education will likely impact their future quality of life.
