I’ve reached the verdict-I am definitely an Autumn (Gilmore Girls anyone?). I am loving this recent fall weather. I’ve actually been able to wear sweatshirts in the morning! Dreams really do come true. I don’t even care if this may be false fall; I’ll take what I can get.

As I’ve already expressed, fall is my favorite season, but October is my favorite month. It’s my birthday month for one, but there’s so many autumn events going on that I love dearly. Fall festivals, the Perry Fair, ghost tours, pumpkin painting, and fall coffee menus are just to name a few of the things I hold close to my heart when it comes to fall. And just to add, Halloween is my favorite holiday!

All that to say, Lake Sinclair has no shortage of fall festivities. Whether you love haunted happenings (a lot of that in these historic towns), harvest paddles on the river, or fall arts and crafts events, there’s a plethora of affairs for you to join in on the fun. You know the drill; keep on reading to see what’s coming up this first weekend of October.

As a University of Georgia alumna, I love anything to do with the Dawgs. At Lake Country Books & Gifts, you can listen to former UGA cheerleader, Southern Britt, read her very own children’s book Cheering On The Dawgs. Learn about the fanfare of Georgia’s favorite team and bring your little Dawg fans for a spirit filled story time on October 17th from 11 AM to 1 PM.

Congrats, you’ve reached the end! I hope you have a fabulous October and check off everything on your fall bucket list. But don’t stress, there’s always next year. There’s just so many fun things to do at Lake Sinclair, it’s hard to fit it all in one or two months. Have a great rest of your week!
