Making Waves is brought to us by Nick Montgomery of Keller Williams Realty Lake Oconee.

Some homes stop you in your tracks, and 110 S Cay Drive on Lake Sinclair is exactly that kind of home. Built in 2023, this jaw-dropping farmhouse sits on 1.27 acres of deep-water frontage with a double boathouse, a new seawall, and the kind of dock you'll never want to leave. Inside, the craftsmanship is something else entirely: shiplap walls, a true reclaimed brick fireplace, white oak beams, and 7" European White Oak engineered hardwood floors that set the tone the moment you walk in. The kitchen was made for lake living: an island with a sink overlooking the water, an eat-in breakfast area, quartz countertops, and a walk-in pantry.

Step outside to a massive covered porch with tongue and groove ceilings, a porch swing, dining table, and a TV, because some evenings you just don't want to go back inside. At 6,292 square feet across three levels, there's room for everyone, including a true theater room, a full basement kitchen, a hot tub, and a built-in fire pit by the water. Minutes from Publix, Kroger, and local restaurants.

Listed at $2,329,000. Reach out to Nick Montgomery | 706-816-0841.

Independence Day at Lake Sinclair

This week on the blog, we're welcoming a guest writer, Savanna Waddell, a UGA graduate and lifelong Lake Sinclair local whose family has been celebrating the Fourth on this lake for 70 years. That's nearly as long as Lake Sinclair has existed. If anyone knows how to do the Fourth of July right out here, it's her.

Savanna put together a guide to celebrating Independence Day on Lake Sinclair: from fireworks by land and water to boat rentals and local tips to make the most of the long weekend. The post will keep updating as more events and details are added closer to the holiday, so bookmark it and check back.

America's 250th Anniversary // Nick Montgomery

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday in a big way at Nick Montgomery’s 250th Independence Day Extravaganza, an afternoon and evening of family fun at Oconee Springs Park on Lake Sinclair. This community celebration will feature activities for all ages, including waterslides, face painting, live music, delicious food vendors, and a festive atmosphere leading up to a spectacular fireworks display over the lake.

Families are invited to come early, enjoy the entertainment, explore local vendors, and spend the evening making memories with friends and neighbors. The celebration begins at 4:00 PM and continues through the fireworks finale.

However you're spending the 4th, I hope it involves good food, good people, and at least a few minutes watching the sky light up over the water. That's what this lake was made for. Wishing you a happy, safe, and memorable Independence Day weekend from all of us at Lake Sinclair Life.

See you around the lake,
Holly
