Good morning!
Can you feel it? That little hum in the air that says summer is officially here? The flags are out, the coolers are stocked, the boats are gassed up, and Memorial Day weekend is finally… finally… staring us right in the face. And honestly, I can't think of a better place on earth to kick off the unofficial start of summer than right here on Lake Sinclair.
This week's edition is bursting at the seams, so grab some coffee or sweet tea (or something stronger, if it’s later in the day) and settle in. We've got Nick Montgomery's stunning new lake listing that's basically begging you to host your holiday weekend there.
We've got Fun In A Flash Photo Booth for every graduation party and backyard bash you've got on the calendar. Cafe du Papa is bringing the delicious donuts and beignets to the Eatonton Farmers Market Friday night, the legendary Swingin' Medallions are taking over Oconee Springs Park Saturday, and if you need an excuse to wander downtown, our Murals and More roundup is the perfect long-weekend activity. Plus, school is OUT, which means summer camps are calling, and I've rounded up what you need to know.
And because we like to send you into the weekend smiling, our Editor's Pick this week is a sneak peek at what Nick has up his sleeve for the Fourth of July and it's going to be a party.

Making Waves is brought to us by Nick Montgomery of Keller Williams Realty Lake Oconee.
Picture this: it's Memorial Day weekend, the grill's going, the boat's loaded up, and you're watching the sun drop over some of the cleanest, clearest water Lake Sinclair has to offer — from your screened porch. That's the daydream Nick's newest listing makes real.
508 Rockville Springs Drive sits in Oconee Springs Landing, one of the best neighborhoods on the lake. Three bedrooms (all on the lake side, each with its own bath — a rare and very welcome setup when company comes), vaulted ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, and an open kitchen with granite, stainless, and enough counter space to actually host. There's a bar area built for entertaining, a screened porch made for lazy afternoons, and a finished daylight basement with French doors that opens straight to a patio overlooking the water. Down at the shoreline: a shared double-stall boathouse with a hangout area and a boatlift, ready for whatever floats your summer.
Offered at $525,000. If you've been waiting for the right Lake Sinclair home, this one's worth a look before the holiday weekend.

📸 Book Fun In A Flash for Your Next Big Moment
Graduation season is here, summer birthdays are around the corner, and if your company hasn't planned its next team event yet… well, you've got my permission to keep procrastinating, as long as you book a photo booth that does half the work for you.
Fun In A Flash Photo Booth is the one I keep recommending. Jennifer Gore and Amy Foster, two Lake Country moms and Eatonton neighbors, run the whole show, and they bring serious gear: a Canon EOS R100, studio flash, LED lighting, and a fully customizable iPad-based digital booth that makes everyone look good (yes, even Uncle Randy under fluorescent lights).
Here's why I love them for any kind of celebration:
🎓 Graduation parties - Unlimited digital photos, instant text/email sharing, and a full gallery delivered within 48 hours. Your grad gets the keepsake, you get the candids you'd have missed otherwise.
🎂 Birthday celebrations - Milestone birthday, sweet sixteen, surprise party in the backyard, sixtieth on the dock, the booth turns any space into an instant photo studio and gives guests something to actually do.
🏢 Company functions - Branded "Tap to Start" screen with your logo, custom backdrop options, and a clean, professional setup. Whether it's a client appreciation night, a holiday party, or a trade show, your guests leave with a photo, and your brand goes home with them.
Every rental includes unlimited photos, instant sharing, the custom-branded start screen, professional setup and teardown, and your full digital gallery within 48 hours. Add-ons like an on-site attendant and custom backdrops are available, and Jennifer and Amy travel throughout Eatonton, Milledgeville, and the Lake Sinclair area (a small travel fee applies beyond 30 miles).
Bottom line: don't be the host scrambling for a group photo at 9 PM. Let the booth do it and let Jennifer and Amy handle the rest.

America's 250th Anniversary // Nick Montgomery
Mark your calendars, friends, this one's going to be big. On Saturday, July 4, 2026, Oconee Springs Park is hosting a full-on celebration of America's 250th birthday, and it's shaping up to be the Lake Country party of the summer. Gates open at 4 PM and the fun rolls all the way through fireworks, with live music from Cool Water Kings and Alabama tribute band Fiddle in the Band, food trucks, kids' activities, VIP tables, and "much more" that the organizers are still teasing out. (Translation: keep an eye on social media, more details are dropping soon.)
Here's the extra-fun part for our readers: this whole celebration is being presented by The Nick Montgomery Team: yes, that Nick, our very own sponsor this week. So whether you're coming for the music, the fireworks, the food, or just to toast 250 years of America with your neighbors on the lake, save the date. You won't want to miss this one.

That's a wrap, friends! Whether you're heading out on the boat, firing up the grill, or just finding a quiet spot on the porch to soak it all in, I hope this Memorial Day weekend is everything you need it to be. Take a minute to remember what the holiday is really about, hug the people you love a little tighter, and I'll see you back here next week.
Stay cool, stay safe, and let's make some memories.
xo,
Holly
